MAJOR ATOM BOYS PRE SEASON RANKINGS

Post by hooper on Wed Oct 21, 2009 9:15 am

1. Vaughan Panthers #1 - clearly #1 3rd year in a row, too much size, talent and coaching
2. Mississauga Wolverines - added new players from last seasons Brampton #1 team - bigger, faster, better
3. Toronto Triple Threat - lost a big but added more athleticism and talent
4. YAAACE - great guard surrounded by athletes and a good coach
5. Blessed Sacrament - always solid talent and coaching
6. BJCC Eagles - lost a couple of players but still have an incredible 1-2 punch
7. Guelph CYO - consistent year end and year out

Teams #8 - #15 will definitely change as the season progresses. Only games will determine this.

8. Brampton Warriors #1 - last seasons #2 coach takes over, new team, should have enough talent to compete
9. Durham City Bulldogs - lost some players but still has athletes and a good coach
10. Vaughan Panthers #2 - good guard, added a solid big, well coached
11. York South Silver Knights - new team, consists of last years talent from IEM D2 gold medalists
12. Newman Youth Cardinals - decent talent and very well coached
13. Gladiators - new team with several players from last seasons Durham squad
14. Etobicoke Thunder - tons of size and a couple of good guards
15. KV Vipers - great forward, decent guard, adequate surrounding talent

Best of the rest: Brampton #2, IEM, Oakville Venom, Niagra Falls

Great overview of the teams in this division. I agree with your assessment especially with the top 7 teams. You seem to know all the movements of players over the last few months. Are you associated with one of these teams?

I have to agree. I'm quite impressed because your actually right on the nose with your rankings and knowledge of this age group! Good work!

Very interesting read! I'm not sure how you got all that information, but excellent post. My son had an opportunity to play for a couple of those teams, but chose to play up in Bantam.

Etobicoke did lose one of their best players to a development program, but they got a tonne of new very fast guards.
