Since there were no Toronto players, this might not have been noticed, but Canada came in fourth today. USA, Spain, Argentia, Canada, Australia, Russia was the final rankings. Canada has three good players: Kayla Alexander (Milton) - Syracuse; Natalie Achonwa (Guelph) - verbal to Notre Dame; T. Wicijowski (Regina)- Utah. Canada was one of the best rebounding teams led by the 3 mentioned players. Turnovers were a problem area, 175 in 9 games (19.4 Topg) versus USA at 135, Spain 144.

New Zealand's Tall Blacks dropped their last game of the Trentino Cup in Trento, Italy, losing 68-90 to Canada. Canada shooting proved too accurate as it landed 57 percent from the field (33/58) and seven of its 14 long-range attempts to pull away from New Zealand to notch its second straight win in Italy.
