Re: Etobicoke Basketball Rep Team Tryouts
Greetings. Best to check our website for the full details of the tryouts, but we are actually holding them on both Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 12-13) - at the same time for the respective age groups listed previously. Based on the turnout, we are scheduling follow-up tryouts. As for "respectable," that depends on your definition. Our Boys Juvenile ended up in Division 1 last season and we hope to field two such teams at the Junior level this season. If you're curious about a specific team, then you'll have to contact us directly or simply show up at our tryouts. Thanks for your interest. Best of luck and success, wherever you may choose to play! Competitive Teams
Greetings and thanks for the query. I think the top EBA Junior team should be able to compete with probably anyone in D1. Definitely a "top-10" team! We have some size and great leaping ability in the post, explosive quickness and great shooting at the wings, and aggressive, pass-first, tough-minded defenders at the point. Our second U19 team does not have as much size, but otherwise a balanced group of talented players at the various positions. We could probably use one more talented "big", but that's probably true of just about every team! Looking forward to a great season! -Coach Joe
