Coaches!!! Rosters are needed for OBA Section to Begin!!!

This will be my final notice in regards to rosters for any other organizations in the GTA!!! We would like to begin this Section before the season actually begins. I have all of the GTA teams besides the following:
Motion(formerly Jamba Cats)
Vaughan Panthers
Etobicoke Thunder
York South
York Avengers
Mississauga Monarchs
Oakville Vytis
Oakville Venom
You are teams that represent the GTA, and are the sections main focus to inform the basketball fans and to give the organizations, coaches and players some exposure for the upcoming season. I realize that I have most of last years Div 1 teams(besides Vaughan, Mississauga)but all the teams in the GTA are who we would like to give some shine to in this new section. Thanks again for all the co-operation we've been getting and look forward to seeing some of the best basketball that Ontario has to offer for kids that are basically in their last year of intermediate level play, and that will be finally moving on to regulation(normal)size balls, I think! This year as well. There isn't much difference in the size but, you can tell. Thanks for rosters from several of the teams noted today. I understand that some teams are still in final stages of tryouts so hopefully by month's end we have all the teams in the GTA.

KTG, glad to have you back and I'm glad to be back. I will forward updates to you again as soon as I get them, I enjoyed your posts last season and look forward to helping you make this year great for these young ball players. Please a reminder to all of us that contribute to knowthegame's posts lets keep it positive, express yourself but none of the drama or trash talking we saw last season. Thankfully Hooptowngta is taking this stuff serious, and you would not want to loose a post as important as this one will be due to foolishness. Thanks guesswho! Its good to see u back on too! You've been away for a minute! Yes, we are really trying to keep things clean on the website, and it usually is but the warning signs have been put up! This section is a great tool for the GTA teams reppin in the OBA!!! Its in its beginning stages but hopefully with all the positive support from the basketball community, it will be ok! November 1 is coming around the corner. Teams in the GTA need to get there rosters(coach, players, manager and player info:schools, hts, pos)as my deadline is approaching in order to get the new OBA section started up. I have all of the rosters from most of the GTA teams except for most of the ones for-mentioned above. It would be nice to have all the organizations in the GTA and surrounding areas to be included in this section since we are the most dominate area in the OBA's. Thanks for all the cooperation. The am also still getting emails about prospective panel members but we preferrably need either coaches, officials or people of knowledge of these age group. We have 10 already, but Im thinking of making it 12 and possibly turning the weekly Top 10 in the Super 16 similar to hooptowngta's High school section. Thanks again!

Why do you need to know the rosters? Are you like the in charge of Provincials or ? :S

No Andy, he is not in charge of the OBA. He is a coach,official and former NCAA player who actively monitors this age group thru his contacts,relatives,friends,colleages and active participation with this group. So Andy, like a good journalist, he needs the rosters to report accurately, as oppossed to having people report their own inflated statistics.

Thanks tidbits. We actually almost have everyone. I know that I had said earlier that we would be focusing more on the Division 1 teams, but I realized that the main focus should be on the whole of the GTA teams reppin in the OBA. So, teams like Gold medal champs Etobicoke Thunder and York South and York Avengers, your info is important to this sight as well. I hope I didn't get it misinterpreted. The goal for this section is to inform the basketball community in the GTA about the organizations, teams and players from this area that participate in rep basketball(OBA). I am getting some good feedback and have the help to possibly expose more teams in the GTA, so we will be trying to get some shine on not just the Top 10 teams but teams throughout the region. email knowthegame@live.ca

KTG, how goes the quest for your rosters. Have you gotten everything you need or are you still waiting? We are all paitently waiting for this section to begin.

Hey guesswho! Good to see u back in the mix. As you can see the discussion board has been somewhat quiet the last few weeks do to teams practicing and some finalizing they're rosters. I do have everything in order regarding rosters and info on the top 10 Teams however, a few of them are not completely finalized. We should have the Pre Season Outlook with the The Pre Season Top 10 on the New OBA Section by no later than November 20th! Look out for that. Hooptowngta and myself would like to thank all the cooperative coaches and teams for they're info and support of the start of having our own Section to Highlight OBA play(for know just at the Major Bantam level)but hopefully as the season goes on, we will try to shine some light on some other age groups as well if possible. On one quick note, we are also going to be displaying game schedules, scoreboards(results)and up coming tournaments. So if you have any scores or updates, email me at knowthegame@live.ca.
