COMMUNITY DEVLOPMENT LEAGUE
The Durham City Basketball Association is proud to present a new program... Community Development League that will provide mentoring and foster positive relations between youth and adults in the Durham Region. Our goal is to engage youth grade 6 to 8 in their surrounding communities by providing them with recreation and a platform to have their opinions heard and meet positive role models in their communities. At the beginning of each week there will be a 30 minute session focusing on a particular youth topic of interest. Topics include Bullying, Internet Safety, Drugs & Alcohol, Peer Pressure, Healthy Living, Community Safety and Gangs. Each session will be conducted by a certified Child/Youth Workers. We welcome boys and girls of all skill levels. Teams will be made evenly. Details of the league are as follows...

Cost - $50
Times - Grade 6 to 8 - 6pm - 8pm (weekly discussion 6pm - 6:30pm)
Game #1 6:30pm - 7:10pm
Game #2 7:10pm - 7:50pm
Registration will be at Terry Fox P.S. (30 Kerrison Drive-Ajax) 6pm - 7:30pm

Nice idea coach! Hope its successful. Kids need to take advantage of the extra playing and developing.
