Re: Brampton Warriors 2009 - 2010 Rep Tryouts
Recruiter,
Just wanted to give you some correct information: Bounce did not start by frustrated players leaving. I personally started Bounce. I live in Brampton and coached for Brampton for 11 years. Bounce is a Brampton based organization and started due to the fact that I had great players that we developed. I started Bounce as a summer AAU program and at the time Brampton did not want to believe that our players could get recruited or get scholarships and did not want to spend alot of energy on summer basketball. Therefore I got frustrated and left and took the players with me. In our first year of existence we won several AAU tourneys numerous OBA tourneys and won the Canadian National Championships. The next year we partnered with CIA to form CIA Bounce. In our partnered first year we placed our two teams in the Finals at OBA and finished 1st and 2 nd. We devloped great players and the fruits of our hard work are comming to light. The players that both CIA and Bounce started with are now recieving NCAA division 1 scholarships. The reason that I started Bounce and the reason Mike started CIA. That is the history of Bounce and CIA Bounce.
LOL Im sure we can do a layup or two.
Sorry to post it here but I wanted to clear that up.
Thanks
Well i dont know whats happening over in the malton maverick camp,
but the rankings are simple to understand. If a team plays and win games they will be ranked accordingly.
brampton won games and were ranked 5th because of it,(btown will not be ranked 5th unless they win every game or desrve that ranking there initial ranking will be like 8th to 10th depending on other teams push to make d1 and who brampton loose to early in the season.
but if there is a new and upcomming team like motion who weren't ranked anywhere before and then came in and beat brampton they can be easily put into top rankings like they did this past season finishing 7th overall in d1
oh yea another team too look out for collective ballers beat brampton and there weren't even ranked.
if you follow bball one team could never be on the map and all of a sudden be there just because they had a change in staff, recruitment, players and etc...
as for the malton and brampton tryouts thats there business. i ve seen what your talking about and to me its simple players have to choose where they want to play.
I dont think any oba team sits down at a table and say" ok when do you want to plan your tryouts, so i can plan mine on a different day" lol.
being around bball and the oba for atleast a decade this is not the first time something like this has happened.
I personanlly believe there is a change in the malton camp, due to fustrated players, almost the same reason bounce came to power,
"x fustrated barampton players" leaving b town for bounce another malton team.
bounce was never ranked in d2 or 3 beacuse they always had btowns top guys.
but bounce has coaches that know and can demonstrate how to do a lay up or two.
As for the coach for malton (who ever he/she is) is trying to put that option out there, being on the same date he/she may be trying to make a point but i doubt it.
after all malton mavericks wasnt always garbage, alot of todays coaches and referees and previous players came out of malton. like a sherman hamilton u know the guy on raptors tv.
lets cut the bs and all the chasing around i had enough of playing with you, i played for the old coach and yes it was ok,old coach left new one came in with new vision but some of the old players had bad habits and attitude that could not change.
The old coach started to pull us to his new team he was starting promising lots of things for the summer which went no where because it fell through so i did not play any ball for the summer.
The old coach left the team he was suppose to coach in the summer(which never happen) to go over to malton mavericks for the new and up coming OBA season trying to pull us once again from Warriors and 2 other teams what this means leave a division 1 team to go to division 3 team did he tell our parents that?
my mom have a saying don't dam the bridge you cross because you may need that bridge one day.
Look at other coaches having respect for their fellow teams dont worry i am sitting out ball for the winter education first.
Recruiter i dont think you should post any more because we all know who you are.

Carr B Coach
I just want to say thank you for the correct info, and congrats on the sucess of your program, but most importantly forcing many programs to invest more into there players. In turn they remain competitive and the game of bball grows.
gunta
The first thing i want to say is, Education is key and its good that your putting it first.
Secondly your mom is right "mom have a saying don't dam the bridge you cross because you may need that bridge one day"
As a person who had agreed to help and work along side your old coach, as a spectator and parent i had a son who played for your old coach.
In my opinion i dont believe you had played for him, because if you did you would known what had happened in the warriors organization forcing your old coach out.
my son was upset but was encouraged to go back and play and was told not to hold any grudges.
Sure he wanted to push a program in the summer but it was too costly in a recession, and I and other players were concerned about the out door courts.
But the most impressing thing about your old coach i find he allows the boys to develope, he devotes his own time to help coach guys pick them up bring them to a gym and teach them outside of practice.
And no coach will tell his guys if there is a better opportunity to play for a top team like grassroots, bounce, st davids go and do it and encourage it.(tell me if he's selfish now)
To me he wants to see the game of bball grow and any player that comes through him he will support them. If a player is weak he will help them to get stronger like my son.
Even though he's a young guy, Im proud of him and his hard work and would like to let you and all know he has my support.
And thats why im doing my best to promote him and his programs he has, such as runs for 13- 15 year olds starting october 19th. This started last year and my son loved it.
And if you were there im sure you had fun too,
but i enjoyed our conversation on this forum and hopefully it can continue.

Does this mean you'll now shut up? Because if you sitting out ball means we have to put up with reading any more of your idiotic posts, I vote you get back on the court. Or really hit the books. In either case, do something that reduces the time you spend on this board talking sh1t.
