Kuljanin Signs with Greek Team
According to this article he sat out the National Team pre-Olympic games this summer while his agent negotiated the contract. It's amazing how much detail is in this article about the terms of the deal.

Re: Kuljanin Signs with Greek Team
This makes sense I could not understand his absence on the National team. (As the article points out 6-10 265).
Does this make him the only Canadian at the A-level in European basketball?

Re: Kuljanin Signs with Greek Team
Kuljanin signed with a big-time agency - which also speaks volumes of his potential. I'm hoping this was simply a Rautins decision where he saw Anthony, Dalembert and his son Andy taking up the most minutes in the post, (it's easier to blame Leo that way - and yes the nepotism is a joke) . . . however I worry that this may be another situation similar to Magliore.
Hopefully this is just one year - our program could be positioned quite nicely in 6 years if our current group of 18 to 20 y/o's take over the reigns.

Vlad Kuljanin/players playing "A Level" European
Vlad was let go from his Greek team during the pre-season, and has now joined a Croation A1 team CEDEVITA ZAGREB. The Greek 1st division is in the top three leagues in Europe, and I think it was too big a jump for Vlad to start at. The Croatian league is mid level and Vlad will get a better chance for playing time.
As far as the question regarding players playing "A" level European basketball, I update players whereabouts on the Hooplife.ca board under the Overseas heading, have a look to see who is playing where. FYI Carl English and Levon Kendall, and perhaps Olu Famutimi are the only players playing at what I would call real "A level" at the moment, Rowan Barrett has not gone back to Chalon, and I am trying to track down the the whereabouts of Denham Brown and Juan Mendez.
