Re: Whose Better in their prime? Kobe or Jordan?
As petro pointed out, all credibility has been lost for u man.
Ur sniffing Kobes Jock strap, ur thinkin at 30-31, Kobe himself will do better? On a team with young developin talent, like Andrew Bynum, Trevor Ariza, and maybe even Jordan Farmar (I said young developing talent) Sorry but based on ur posts, ur loving off Kobe, u cant justify that Kobe is better than Jordan, one of ur statements said that Jordan had a better career, but Kobe is having the better prime, last time i checked, ur prime is when u are playing ur best basketball u can? And Jordan is the best in history, and is top 3 in best primes in sports history. So that statement is flawed. Then u said Kobe is faster than Jordan, ARE u FRIED? Jordan wasnt that fast, but Kobe's not any faster, theres no way Jordan was stronger than Kobe, and theres no way Kobe was EVER a better shooter than Kobe. Then i see you comparing rookie years, Kobe averaged 7 ppg, and made All- Rookie 2nd team, while Iverson was ROY. While Jordan was playing in a more defensive era, and averaged 28 ppg! And was ROY. And who cares if he retired 3 times?
When he retired the first time, he eventually won 3 straight titles....
He retired a 2nd time, and won 3 straight AGAIN. Another flawed point, "Kobe had more range, and utilies it to his advantage. If that statement was true, wouldnt Kobe have been averagin 30 his whole career?

Michael Jordan might be the most competitive player ever. He quit basketball to play baseball because he saw no challenge anymore in basketball. He had mastered his craft.

Re: Whose Better in their prime? Kobe or Jordan?
Jordan doesn't have range? The other day they mentioned that he was either 1st or 2nd (can't remember) in 3 pointers made in the NBA finals.. that's a big number while Robert Horry and Derrick Fisher follow .
In the Finals..but what about the whole season. Why do you think when he hit like, what was it 4 threes against Portland he was shrugging himself lol. But then again Jordan was around when I was very young, but I don't think MJ shot a better % than Kobe is doing right now, did he? :S

when a guy comes out in a intense playoff game wit stomach flu, and scores 34 points, he is the best and has deffinently mastered his craft. it wa like as easy as walking for him

And if u leave the NBA because u feel no competition, then come back, and win 3 straight Finals MVP's, thats just insane

Re: Whose Better in their prime? Kobe or Jordan?
My main point is this....
MJ played his career above the rim & attacking the basket. He understood the concept of putting the pressure on the opponents D. Watch any Bull games & you'll see 3-4 defenders cheating on MJ cuz after him, there no one. Even with that kind of attention, he still consistently got to the rim. Hell, the Pistons had a defense expressly designed to stop him...The Jordan Rules.
Kobe is a helluva player who at times reminds you of MJ. He needs so much seasoning to attain the MJ level, if he does, that to try & force a "Who's better?" argument is unfair to Kobe.
Kobe needs to realize what attacking the basket does in a game. Besides putting the opponents in potential foul trouble, it disrups the opponents defensive scheme & gives you free throws...which of course are free. lol
Kobe's basketball IQ is nothing compared to Jordan. Kobe doesn't know how to win by himself. They tried to criticize MJ by saying the trey was a weakness so he went out in the Finals & dumped a record amount of treys to make his point....

My point is even by saying Jordan had no other scorers on his team he still did what he did to win even if that was scoring 60 to do that

I like the way this article positions it. Its hard to say who is better when you compare two players head to head.
I think the best way to judge who was a better player it to look at how that specific player stacked up against his own competition.
