Devendorf, Harris, Flynn Declare

Post by stevelogan92 on Mon Apr 13, 2009 5:14 am

Jonny Flynn is a ready to make the jump.

Eric Devendof has said he more than likely will not be returning to SU for his Senior playing season. If he does not get drafted he says he is prepared to play overseas.

Paul Harris will test the NBA waters and has chosen not to hire an agent.

I think Flynn is making the right move. Paul Harris has nothing to lose aslong as he does not hire an agent. I hear he is a top student academically. Devendorf is making a huge mistake if you ask me. He should return for his senior season without a doubt.

I agree 1000%... Dorf has not bizz to be considering the NBA draft... he must be flunkin out of school big time and if so, Boeheim must be pushing him out.

Actually, I read that Devendorf has finished his degree already. Remember, he lost a year to injury and should have graduated this year.

Personally, I'm happy to see him go.

I think Flynn will stay in the draft and go in the early to mid first round. Best case 9-11th overall..worse case 18th-20th.
I think Paul Harris will be wearing an orange jersey next year, and I think Deivendorf will be playing overseas. (might get drafted at the end of the 2nd round..doubt it though)

I read that Devendorf is considered a senior academically but has not fulfilled all academic requirements to graduate. He is making arrangements to take summer courses in order to graduate.

I also just read he has a young daughter. This may also be a factor in his decision to enter the draft. I read he wakes up for class for the day continues straight to practice, then is picked up by his girlfriend to look after the baby and do his studies while she works the night shift. Obviously this is when he is at home. Who knows what his road routine is.
