Dude from Niagara Falls is getting some mention about possible NBA draft.
7 footer has lot's of skill.. but also has lot's of work to do to get stronger.
He plays at Florida International. Scouts love his soft hands, finishing ability and shot blocking.
Maybe another Todd McCullough???

My boys from UCLA played Flordia International on Saturday night...and there is NO WAY this guy will ever step foot on an NBA court. He could barely do anything against UCLA's big men..which all happen to be freshman, and who all still look pretty lost on the court (BoBo Morgan, Drew Gordon) As well as junior James Keefe, who still looks pretty lost as well. With the exception of Alfred Aboya whose a solid college player, Hicks could do absolutely nothing on plays where he had isolation, and grabbed very little boards, against an undersized UCLA team.. Not hating, just stating my observations.

Hicks was playing with a stress fracture, and it was not known until after the UCLA game. He is now out 10 weeks.

Oh true.. I had no idea about that. I didn't even know who he was or that he was canadian until they said it during the game..and yeah from what i saw he was brutal..but a stress fracture to sideline you half the season could explain that.

Petro - how did he do in his workout with the rap? He certainly must have an upside considering he missed much of the season with what, a broken leg? Hope he gets a look for the nat'l team.

Haven't seen any articles on it. Did he in fact already work out for the Raps.

According to hoopshype, he worked out May 11 with the rap. jevohn shepard worked out the folllowing day with the rap. I recall seeing a very brief article, more like a paragraph, on russel hick's reaction to getting a workout, which was quite positive and enthusiastic.
