Anthony Smith (#23) absolutely killed us. He followed up a 27 point effort against Central Tech by torching us for 28. He makes good decisions, doesn't force anything and if you foul him in the act of shooting, he will kill you on the line. He hit big shot after big shot. He is also a good leader. One of my players fell hard and was injured. When he was down, some Kipling players and members of the crowd decided to make fun of the situation, which infuriated me. Anthony Smith walked up to me, shook my hand and apologized for the behavior of his team and fans. Very classy move.
We had a 9 point lead in the middle of the third quarter and lost our focus. It's a game we should have won and I will take the blame on this one.
