Heart Lake Classic Tournament-Senior Boys

Heart Lake SS in Brampton is hosting their 2nd annual senior boys basketball tournament on December 9-10, 2009. The tournament runs during the week leaving your weekend free!!

Game Times:
Wednesday Dec. 9 8:30 am-8:30 pm
Thursday Dec. 10 1:00 pm-7:00 pm

8 team draw, guaranteed 3 games with league refs
Awards for championship team and tournament all stars

Newtonbrook is very well coached and has had a strong team the past couple of seasons. Chaminade is very athletic. We play Kipling on Friday so I cannot give an opinion on them till after that game and Woodbridge had a fairly good junior team last year. If some of their better players moved up, they can play with anybody in this tourny.
I am unsure of the talent/coaching on Heart Lake, Woodlands, Central Peel and Erindale.

Woodbridge also had a decent senior team last year. They lost to Newtonbrook by 5 and two good Peel teams Sandalwood and Ascension by 2.

Heart Lake were the Peel tier 2 champions last year. Woodlands and Central Peel were quality tier 2 teams. I believe Erindale was a playoff team in tier 1 last year. We are hoping for a good competitive tournament.

Woodlands missed the playoff by a game..if i can remember...there Jr team was one of the best...they gave Glenforest(tier 2 Jr champs) a run for there money ..but ended up losing in overtime...so expect them to have strong jrs coming up to sr helping them out....Heartlake Won Sr T2 last year..and there Jr team made the playoffs..and held there own....this tournament should be competitive.

heartlake every year has been a great team for teir2 the coaching last year was great which lead heartlake to there third(3) championship in 5 years this year the team is looking pretty gudd frum what i can say heartlake is goin to be a tough team this year and look forward to defend there championship again this year.
