Loyola...Are they good this year?
How good is Loyola looking this year?...I know they've lost a couple of key players...but who do they have and are they good enough to make a deep playoff run?

Re: Loyola...Are they good this year?
No they shouldn't be good, UNLESS they have a few transfers.
They lost Osawe and Tamoy to graduation. On top of that they lost 2 of the best grade 11's to prep in Stauskas and Brescarin. They have no other good juniors coming up.
Will have to see how they do in the Carr tournament.

Re: Loyola...Are they good this year?
Peel will be fine.
Campion has four starters back and is playing in a lot of elite tournaments.
Carmel has everyone back from a final four team.
Ascension was mostly grade 11s last year so they will have a lot of experience,
Xavier has four starters back.
Marcellinus, Sandalwood and BCSS are all teams on the rise.
Goetz surpised last year and has a solid core.
The only top teams that will probably take a step back this year are Loyola and, to a lesser extent, D'Youville.

Re: Loyola...Are they good this year?
Considering the info I got, as of right now:
1) Campion-everyone back except Byron
2) D'Youville-Manny is back, AND I hear they have 2 top transfers. Could be rumours. No confirmation yet.
3) Xavier-Return top guys add Dexter. Lost Jankovic.
4) Carmel-Everyone is back
5) Brampton Centennial-Return their big man, Andrew and all of the top juniors.
6) Ascension-Bikram Gill, Camal. Still no confirmation on whether or not Rouse is back.
Look for Goetz, Sandalwood, Notre Dame and Gonzaga to be competitive.
What do you think Peel Fan?

Re: Loyola...Are they good this year?
What we are forgetting is that Byron missed the majority of the second half of the season. In my eyes Campion returns 5 starters.
Carmel lost 2 starters to graduation but with their replacements have no drop off.
Xavier from what I understand is heavy at the guard position and extremely light at the forward position.
Ascension should be a competitive squad. I think they return everyone.
