Pinky Lewis Analysis:

Group A: Eastern Commerce wins the group easily, no question
Group B: Loyola should come out on top with this group assuming all the
good things I have heard about them are true
Group C: Holy Trinity will easily go on to win the group
Group D: ACMT in my opinion are the best team in the Hamilton Catholic League
and will win group, but will get a battle from Ascension
Group E: St. Mike's takes this one, St. Mary's are OK, but not as good as they
were last year
Group F: Pine Ridge easily comes out of this group
Group G: Toughest group in the tournament, all 3 teams are very solid, should
come down to MacNab and St. Francis Xavier, and I will give the edge to St. Francis
Xavier
Group H: Cathedral are not the same Cathedral team we are used to seeing, so Father
Goetz is the top team in then group.

Past Round #1

Eastern Commerce vs. Father Goetz Winner: Eastern Commerce
Holy Trinity vs. Pine Ridge Winner: Holy Trinity
ACMT vs. St. Mike's Winner: St. Mike's
Loyola vs. St. Francis Xavier Winner: St. Francis Xavier

Eastern Commerce vs. St.Mike's Winner: Eastern Commerce
Holy Trinity vs. St. Francis Xavier Winner: Holy Trinity

Championship Game: Eastern Commerce vs. Holy Trinity Winner: Eastern Commerce

tila_tiquila you are terribly mistaken. Oakville Loyola will make the finals easily to face off with Eastern Commerce. Everyone should take in account that Holy Trinity's top Gr. 12r player, troy stevenson has transfered to loyola in oakville. Huge blow for holy trinity and big pick-up for the hawks of loyola. so dont boost a sarnia team tiquila, because there basketball does not compare to the GTA.

St. Pats Sarnia won't win anything. Loyola from Oakville is the class of the group.

I agree with Koodos' predictions. I think the ACMT-Ascension game is the only one that could go either way. I only disagree with a couple of quarter-finals: I don't think Xavier will match Loyola's depth and I think that both Ascension and ACMT can beat St. Mike's.

I think that Oakville Loyola will go a lot farther in this tournament based upon what I've seen. They played Oakwood real tough and apparently they have were missing their big man who is still committed to football. I would give them the nod over Xavier. They have an excellent point guard, athletic wing man, they're well coached, really disciplined and all around good team....and if the 3 ball is dropping for them then watch out.
