Super 16 Rankings

HooptownGTA will NOT be releasing a Pre-Season Super 16 this season. With the large migration of players going to Prep schools, it's hard to get a good read on where to rank the teams.

The first release of HooptownGTA's Super 16 will be on Monday November 16th. However, hooptownGTA will be releasing team profiles before then. Halton teams will be included in the Super 16.

HooptownGTA's Super 16 rankings will not be a coaches poll.

It's the same old boring routine: One person posts a list and then everyone plagiarizes it with a slight change to boost their particular team or simply to avoid making it a complete copy of the original one.

90% of it it based purely on guesses about rosters right now. If anyone wants to make a list that is at least partially credible then they need to wait until after some of the early bird tournaments are completed over the next two weekends.

Where are you guys going with Brebeuf from York? They're not even a top 5 team in YORK!!

oakville loyola is definitely in the top 16. Will they make top 10 will all depend on their showing at the pinky lewis next weekend when they get the chance to play xavier from sauga and pine ridge from pickering.

I think Jarvis will be in the honourable mention or even in the top 16 (anywhere between 10-16). I have seen them play in the Silverthorn tourny. They have a strong group. They almost beat Brampton Centennial and played a close game against us, Harvey. I heard they were missing their big man because of a trip. And he is suppose to be a starter.
If Jarvis can play even better with their big man then they will surprise a lot of teams.

Playing a close game against George Harvey isn't an indicator that a team is on the bubble of the top-16 since the reports from a number of educated basketball minds at the Silverthorn tournament is that George Harvey is not yet a top-16 calibre team themselves. There is a lot of raw potential but the team isn't there yet, despite the many boosters on the board.

I realize that some posters are going to take this as a call to arms but I am simply trying to provide some perspective.
