Re: Thornlea 2009 Senior Boys Basketball Tournament
You cant say Pope's got this, Emery could beat them if they dont bring their A game. You got to remember, games arent played on paper my friend.
BUUUUUT!!!!
If they were, Pope is a strong young team that that is definitely as talented as your Henry Carr or Mother Teresa and will have a lot to prove this year so look out for them. Key players in grade 11 are Nick Lewis, Negus Webster-Chan, and Jermaine Mullings, Key grade 12 players are the twins (i think there on yaaace now) and Aaron Mcgowan
Emery looks like it will be the other team in the finals. I know they have had a solid program for years but not sure what kind of talent they have this year, could anybody bring some light to this?

I will also be in attendance. I'm anxious to see what the boys from Pope can do, what type of style they play and how they can handle pressure from a solid team such as Emery (Top 16 team perhaps). If Pope easily wins this tournament it will be a strong statement made by them.
