to much hype around silverthorn this year if they didnt prove themselves a high caliber team in the past years what will make them good this year and i never heard of any good transfers go there, let alone any go to guys but who knows i might get proved wrong only the season will tell and silverthorn is in the henry carr early bird,This tournament will prove what they really are.

Martingrove is obviously the team to beat this year in the TDSB West Region. Return of the nucleus... Matthew Wright, who is the bread and butter of this team, along with key role players as well as some key junior players from last year's squad. They bring alot of experience, depth and maturity and will easily capture another TDSB West title. As for teams like a George Harvey, Runnymede, West Humber & Silverthorn, will have their work cut out for themselves. I know George Harvey always comes out to play hard and dont believe in giving up, Coach Van Dyke makes sure of that. Runnymede seems to be rebuilding from the loss of Dehman Buchanan & Shane Reader. So we shall see how they will perform. West Humber had a good team last year but due to academic ineligibility they suffered real bad in league play and tourneys so they look to come hard with a vengence and Silverthorn is just a fundamentally sound squad, where they possess knowledge of knowing how to win games no matter what the situation maybe. Well coached but do they have the players to make it to that next level.... Tri-City or even OFFSA. They haven't been dominant since the Milidrag Milidrag, Omar Miles days. The TDSB West Region should be exciting yet interesting this year because the west does possess a crop of teams who are real hungry and have something to prove.

Ok, Im hearing all this talk about TCI and Lakeshore and many other that have done nothing last year... But what about Richview, they completely dominated the TDSB West last year and almost beat Eastern Commerce in City Semi-Finals. They are going to be a team to look out for this year.

Richview, TCI , LakeShore , Westhumber, NACI , Kipling , Vaughn Road, York Memo, and any other team besides George Harvey are .... Martingrove is on another level because there core team consists of 5th year players which no other team in the west has and 2 out of the 4 starters have been on this senior team since grade 10..One of them which is Matthew Wright and is in competition for best in the province..
