Yes, REDA has three teams. The reason REDA has three teams is, because a lot of people were interested in trying out for the team. It makes sense when more people comes to try out ,the more teams they have in the same organization. I'm actually not sure but, I think there is no difference between those 3 teams to be honest.

This is a whole mockery of the high school system, kids like Reece Brooks, Jamal Reynolds playing Prep/Club basketball during their high school season.

No true loyalty to their high school programs and the coaches that take these guys while they are competing for their high school team are riduculous and have no respect for the teacher/coaches in the high school system.

Just imagine a guy blowing out his knee in one of these Prep games, what does he say to his high school coach.

I like the rules in Halton and I think peel should implement the same rule. Don't quote me on this but it goes something like this. "No club basketball or club sport at the same time or until after your high school season has ended."

    Talk about mashed up system.

What bothers me about this whole generation is that the pride that used to accompany playing for your highschool is gone.

AAU and club has taken over. There both good for exposure and I think are a good idea to partake in. But when I played, highschool over club anyday. You played and represented your school the community you lived in and the entire student population. You dont get that with club.

I noticed several players such as Jamal Reynolds, Jalen Griffiths and Cassidy Ryan playing for NPSAA teams, does this affect their high school elgibility or is it treated as an OBA team?

No, they don't affect their high school eligibility, because OFSAA treats NPSAA teams as club teams, unless if a prep team is an actual physical prep school (ie Metro Prep), they cannot play for an another high school team at the same time. I hope this helps ballhard41.

Game 6 PHASE 1 Black vs. ROCK Academy

In a battle of the tournaments undefeated, a frantic finish saw ROCK Academy successfully came from behind to hand PHASE 1 Black its first loss of the showcase with a 70-66 victory.

A relentless pursuit of the basketball on the offensive glass allowed Jamal Reynolds to ge...t a number of looks on the inside to finish with a game-high 18 points, while crafty guard Josh Codinera weaved his way through the defence to find open shooters while also collecting 14 points of his own.

“I tip my hat to the defence that they were playing. They sustained defensive intensity for an extended period of time, I think Josh and Jamal were able to contain and actually get some buckets out of the plays. Jamal’s super active, both offensively and defensively and Josh hit some big shots,” said Keith Vassell head coach of ROCK Academy.
