    2013 GBC MEN'S SUMMER LEAGUE

    TIME:

    -Thursday, Evening Games at 6:30 pm, 8 pm and 9:30 pm

    -Beginning May 16th and ending Aug. 8, 2013.



    COST:

    -$2000.00 (includes a minimum of 11 games)

    -Deposit of $1,200.00 (non-refundable) due by Friday April 23, 7:00pm in the Athletic office at St. James Campus 200 King St. East 6th floor.

    -The Balance of 800.00 is due by May 2th, 2013, at the Coaches/Captains meeting.

    -Referee’s will be present to answer any questions.

    -Payable to: George Brown Athletics with footnote of Men’s Basketball League



    LEAGUE:

    -The league rules of play shall be the current OCAA Men's Rules, NO DUNKING permitted during warm-ups and 2 time- outs per half for 45 seconds.

    -Teams will not be allowed to accumulate (except in the play-offs).

    -A player declaration list must be submitted by the first league game. Each team is only permitted to register 12 players. After the first 4 games, no new players will be eligible to register.

    -Regular season 2 x 20 minutes halves stop time.

    NOTE: In regular season, a game ending in a tie, a 2 minute over-time will be played and only 1 time-out allowed.

    PLAY-OFFS: Games will be 2x20 minute halves, stop time. In the event of a tie, a 5 minute overtime will be played, until a winner is decided.

    -All the players must play 50% or more league games to qualify for the play-offs.

    -Only the first game will be allowed a 15 minute grace before a default is awarded.

    -The recorded score for a default is 2-0.

    -Technical fouls will count as a personal foul.

    -Any player ejected from a game is automatically suspended for 1 game and will have to appear before a disciplinary committee, 2nd ejection- 3 game suspension, 3rd ejection- league suspension without refund. This will include play-offs and the following season.

    -Any flagrant or violent offences (e.g. fighting, spitting) will not be tolerated.

    -Players responsible for such action will be expelled from the league without a refund.

    Coaches and Captains will be responsible for their players' conduct. It will be the discretion of the referees to assess technical fouls.



    AWARDS:

    -Team trophy and championship T-shirts awarded at the end of the league to the winning team & T-shirts for the Finalists.
