ETOBICOKE THUNDER 2002 BOYS Coaching Staff is proud to announce…..

EBA U12 Major Atom Boys 2002 have gone through an exciting season and brought a Division Gold in Blessed tournament and a Division Silver in OBA’s Niagara Falls, together with many great wins all through this season. This group of talented boys has played more than 40 competitive games, practiced hard over 60 sessions and made the RAPTORS- Ford Drills & Skills Contest by volunteering for their community in only 6 months, between October 2013 and April 2014.

Following the Provincial Championships, The EBA 2002 Boys (THUNDER 2020) will be holding a spring/summer development program for 8-10 weeks, starting as early as 1st week of May. It will consist of once or twice a week practice, 2-3 AAU tournaments in nearby US states & Montreal.

This is NOT a try-out for next (2014-2015) season’s U13 Bantam team of Etobicoke Thunder AND you are not required to play for Etobicoke Thunder Bantam team next year. There will be a special invite-only try-out for next year’s team and will be held in September 2014.

This special COMPETITIVE program is open to ONLY 11 (ELEVEN) 2002-born boys who want to develop their basketball skills and experience thru the spring and early summer and become BETTER student-athletes for the years to come.

The cost of this 10-week program will be finalized in consultation with the parents, however it is estimated to be less than $400 per player.

The program will consist of :
Weekly training and skill development (mandatory participation to each one)
Attend 2 or 3 AAU tournaments in nearby US states.
Attend a summer league (if enough interest exists)

In order to offset part of the cost per player, we (parents & players) will be managing the concession stand of U19 Junior Thunder Jam Tournament taking place in 2 gyms on May 10-11, 2014. The profit raised will be used to cover the travel and fees and the excess will be reimbursed to parents at the end of the program.

If you and your son is interested to take part of this exciting new journey, please contact me at direct coachvedat@gmail.com at your earliest convenience.
DEADLINE for interested applicants is SUNDAY APRIL 27, 2014 5:00PM

Coaching staff will evaluate all applications and will send a personal feedback to each player as soon as the team selection process is completed.

    Thanks,
    Coach Vedat
