    5th Annual David Preston Memorial Tournament
    February 5th and 6th, 2009

    Location: Pine Ridge Secondary School -2155 Liverpool Road North Pickering

    - 3 games guaranteed
    -standard 8 team draw
    -awards to Champions and Consolation Champs
    -tournament MVP
    -$280 per team

    5th Annual David Preston Memorial Tournament Empty Change in Teams

    Confirmed Teams: Dunbarton, Chatham -MacGregor, Vaughn, St. Mary's (Pickering), Vaughn Road, Pine Ridge,

    George Harvey was initially in the tournament but had a scheduling conflict so they were replaced by CW Jefferys. CW Jefferys had a scheduling conflict so now Vaughn is assuming the spot and games assigned to CW Jefferys.

    Yeah! The tournament is a six team event now. However, the quality of the field has increased. George Harvey was suppose to participate initially, but, they got the dates mixed with another tourney so CW Jefferys stepped in to take their place.

    CW Jeffery can't make it because they have to make up a league game on Thursday so now Vaughn is taking their scheduled spot.

    So Vaughn and Vaughn Road will go at it again at the Pine Ridge Tourney at 3:00pm. The rematch should be interesting. Did Vaughn take them lightly or is Vaughn Road straight up the better team.

    Good Game! Josh Collins just hit a running three pointer with no time left. Vaughn Road stalled for almost two minutes and shot with 4 seconds left leading by one point 28-27. Vaughn gets the rebound outlets to Josh Collins...he takes a running off balance 30 foot 3 point shot ...makes it and
    gets hammered to the floor....foul and one!
