Pickering won big over St. Mary's. Overwhelmed St. Mary's with some tough defence
Pine Ridge trailed late vs. Notre Dame but pulled away in the closing minutes.
Denis O'Connor and Richardson was a close struggle in the first half.

    Sorry no scores to report!

Notre Dame is a strong team and will contend in Durham unless I am mistaken.

ND played them tough. Pine Ridge is a strong team with great shooters. It was a great game by both teams. Final score was 81-70 but it was much closer than that for the entire game. Pine Ridge pulled away at the end on foul shots and a clutch 3.

    Very true.

The game was very much in doubt and ND hung tough throughout.

All credit to them and their coach they played very smart.

They have a super quick PG who can simply blow by people.

The final was an incredible with a very tough Pickering leading for much of the game as you can see from the updates.

Pickering used ten players throughout and featured some very tough defence and unselfish team play.

Tournament MVP Jordan Henry made two clutch free throws with 10 seconds on the clock to ice the victory for the Pumas.

All credit to both sides it was a great final to watch.

Thanks for the updates Coach Clement! I'm kicking myself for not making the effort to see the tournament final game. I missed a great one! It looks like Pickering High is back and they desperately want to regain the Durham title they've lost the past four years. Slick Rick! I know you were there watching. PK definitely has to be ranked as "on the radar" or possibly a honourable mention team. From what I heard, people are saying that they're a top 16 team for sure by the way they overwhelm teams with their intensity and will to win.

Yes Top 16 once they get in some games. Great defence and a very balanced team.
