Glad to see that the top seven teams were based on performance this season and not simply reputation or regional balancing.
I was also glad to see ND Ajax ahead of ND Welland. Most year's the Niagara version is the better of the two but I've seen both teams play a number of times this year and Ajax is definitely stronger.
Glebe's ranking might be due to the fact that they performed relatively well against St. Matthew but it might also be a mirage. Their likely second game against West Hill will be the test. They don't need to win to justify it but they need to at least be competitive. From what I understand, they are full of fifth year players and won't be intimidated.
OTOH, Catholic Central's seeding is one of the worst cases of home cooking I've seen in a long time.
Not many upsets but here are my predictions:
---FIRST ROUND---
Eastern over More
D'Youville over Centennial
MT over Milliken
CCH (barely) over St. Mike's
ND Ajax over SJAM
Campion over ND Wellend
Beal over St. Anne's
West Hill over Nantyr
Pickering over Glebe
---SECOND ROUND---
Centennial over Milliken
St. Ane's over Natyr
---THIRD ROUND---
Eastern over Centennial
ND Ajax over CCH
Beal over ND Welland
West Hill over Glebe
D'Youville over More
MT over St. Mike's
Campion over SJAM
Pickering over St. Anne's
---QUARTER FINALS---
Eastern over ND Ajax
West Hill over Beal
MT over D'Youville
Campion over Pickering (You heard it here first...and if I'm wrong, I'm sure I'll never hear the end of it. I think the distractions will come home to roost this round.)
---SEMI FINALS---
Eastern over West Hill
MT over Campion
West Hill wins bronze over CAmpion
Eastern wins gold over MT
