i'd like to know too because it seems that etobicoke has very little of this, the closest that i know of is hoopdome but that soon becomes too much of a hassle.

Recommended gyms/rec centre in the western part of the GTA are the following:
Hersey Centre
North Kipling Community Centre
Elmbank Community Centre
Humberwood Community Centre
Queens Plate Gym (across from the Woodbine Centre Mall)
YMCA (Downtown Brampton)
Humber College Gym (Open Runs)
All facilities carry on good basketball competition or if you want to burn a good sweat for cardio purposes.
