WHO WE ARE:
Grassroots Canada (GRC) is a non-profit organization committed to providing Toronto's inner-city youth with the resources, guidance and scholarship opportunities needed to develop into well-rounded individuals and members of the community. Emphasis is placed on academic achievement, life skills development, community contribution and basketball skills development in preparation for the transition from high school to post-secondary and beyond.
GRASSROOTS CANADA ALUMNI INCLUDE:
Denham Brown – drafted by Seattle 40th overall in the 2006 NBA draft
Tristan Thompson – drafted by Cleveland 4th overall in the 2011 NBA draft
Cory Joseph – drafted by San Antonio 29th overall in the 2011 NBA draft
Myck Kobongo – Texas University, projected 1st round pick in the 2013 NBA draft
Junior Cadougan – Marquette University, projected 1st round pick in the 2013 NBA draft

Grassroots is looking to add a few more skilled young men for our grade 7 team. Our team works out Friday nights from 6-7:30PM as well as Saturday afternoons from 1-2:30 pm at the Falstaff Community Center (50 Falstaff Avenue, Toronto, M6L 2C7). All grade 7 boys with positive attitudes and a love for the game of basketball are welcome to attend. For further information contact Coach Jeff Saltzman.
