Here is the link to attendees of the Canada Basketball Camp Attendees

    http://www.basketball.ca/senior-men-s-management-announces-camp-attendees-p154760

I am a litte surprised to see Brady Heslip is there and not Kevin Pangos.

Would have also liked to have seen Kelly Olynyk and Andrew Wiggins.

Pangos broke his finger at the Fisu games. he was invited but declined to focus on school and healing the injury.

Heslip was apparently on fire the entire Fisu tournament... you can always use a pure shooter in the international game.

Olynyk has an injury too... not sure what... and we all know Wiggins is working on his game and body for his one year at Kansas.

    Thanks for the update.

    Hopefully, Pangos heals up quickly.

Olynyk apparently has plantar fasciatis - very annoying - but if he rests it now, it should not affect his NBA season.

Games against Jamaica on Thursday Aug 8 and Saturday Aug 10 at Mattamy Centre in Toronto.

Just read that Carl English will not play because of a back injury.

Fun game tonight! Good energy in the Mattamy Centre.

Triano continued with the same strategy used at the FISU games. He played two shifts for most of the game. I guess it is a great way to see what your players can all deliver.

The surprise of the game for me was Brady Heslip. Watching him live is something else, he can straight out shoot (7 for 10 with 18 points)! Had difficulties on the defensive end, but traded 2 for 3s.

I think that Canada may have some concerns at PG. I would say that Cadougan had a better game than Joseph, but the Jamaican PGs were definitely giving them a tough time (Ennis and Scott).

Andrew Nicholson got into it with Samardo Samuels (former teammate of Thompson at both Prep School and in Cleveland).

It was quite physical and there was definitely some chatter between the teams. The refs were letting a lot go. It will be interesting how this affects Saturday's game.

Howdy gang. Long time reader, first time poster. Bittersweet move leaving English behind.  He mighta split in his own call, but ultimately inevitable and for the best.  Anyways, like the count: 3 PGs, 3 sgs, 3  sfS, and 5 bigs. Alas, Olynyk would've been a wicked stretch.  Question: any links to the tuto cup? Wanna Watch Cory get this squad humming.  Cheers.

Oh and too at tuto.  Trusting Jay T. Knows what he is doing.  That being said, I'd like to see CJ be more assertive. I get that he is running the team and getting everyone their touches (Nicholson strong btw), but I was hoping for d-league Cory, putting up 10-12 shots, as opposed to Spurs Cory (which of course, it's the effing SPURS man) who is perhaps a bit passive on the offensive end. What I'm getting at is, "dammit man, put it on the shoulders and lead!"

Btw - had heated beer talk with reasonably knowledgable pal who is perpetually pissed at Nash for not suiting up.  Get it; he put his time on, but damn, They'd make the Worlds no sweat wiTh him running the show.
Anyways, looking forward to the 30th for some wicked ball.
    Cheers.

Agreed. Very thin at the three with only Sheppard and Doornekamp, now that KJ split for China. Three guard line-ups a coming. Devoe not getting much burn, but my gut tells me he is going to come up big at some point next week.
Sportsnet better carry the damn games!
    Cheers.

Any word on the games being televised?

I guess you need to protect old legs, but I agree that Nash should just jump in the line-up. I don't think that anyone would be offended. Help them to qualify and then move aside!

Copy that, dak1. His step-in would accomplish two cool/important goals:1) get the squad in for next year's worlds (with all the guns- Bennett,Olynyk,Wiggins, and IMO, Ennis, hopefully playing).   2) wake up/hype up and turn heads of sleepers to the potential of this squad.
I get it, no rush.  Be patient.  But they need to take step one in the next 10 days.
    Heck with the Lakers.
    Cheers.
