3rd Senior Boys DRIBT Pine Ridge RESULTS

The 3rd Annual DRIBT tournament is back and being held at Pine Ridge SS on Thursday, February 2nd and Friday February 3rd, 2012. Cost is $300 - 3 games guaranteed. There are only 2 spots left in this tournament so please contact either nekkers4@yahoo.ca or biffin_patricia@durham.edu.on.ca as soon as possible to reserve your spot. did bill crothers actually beat holy trinity....

Yes! They are a good team. Crothers was down by 22 points midway through the 3rd quarter and had an incredible 7 minute stretch where they came back and tied the game up with 5 minutes left in the fourth quarter.

I mentioned a few weeks ago that Bill Crothers will more than likely qualify as the second team out of York Region at the AAAA level behind Vaughn.

I belive they have a game against Vaughn next week. Both teams are undefeated in York Region League play.

I have said before and I will say it again. Bill Crother's does not play by the rules. That school by it's very nature is illegitimate. They beat Holy Trinity because it was Holy Trinity's second game of the day and Bill Crothers first. HT fell apart in the second half because they ran out of steam. In the final vs Pineridge Bill Crother's got beat quite easily and they used an ineligible player Jared Reid........how about that for a sports school

I checked the above link and it said that Reid was eligible for basketball on Oct. 20th.
Is that incorrect? Do you have other information that indicates they are using an ineligible player?

Looks like its says he is eligible for all sports EXCEPT basketball, volleyball and ultimate. (what's ultimate?)

Did you notice a lot of kids transferring out of BCS? (things that make you go hmmmm!)

I hear what you are saying but your game assessment is incorrect. The match up against Bill Crothers was Holy Trinity's first game of the day. They played once on Thursday against St. Joan of Arc and then they played twice on Friday. Holy Trinity played Bill Crothers first and then Stephen Leacock in the third place game. They should have been rested and relaxed. I'm surprised they coughed up a 22 point lead in the third quarter, but, it wasn't because of fatigue from a previous match.

All the talk about Jared Reid is interesting! He's a good player and clearly makes Bill Crothers a better team. I knew something was different about them because they seemed like a vastly improved team since they last matched against Pine Ridge in mid december. Good thing Pine Ridge also got a major upgrade to their line up in Haboubacar Mutombo or else it might have been a different outcome.

Jarred Reid also played the last time bill Crothers faced Pine Ridge

Jarred Reid is a really solid player. By YRAA rules he is not allowed to participate on any YRAA games. Rules are that he is eligible to play in tournaments and exhibition play.

My mistake! I honestly thought that Jared didn't play in the David Preston Memorial Final in mid December. He didn't have much of an impact in their first match up. I didn't notice him at all. However, he played really well the second time around. He scored a lot more points and I think he had a really nice dunk at the end of the game too.
