This going to be another interseting year at the top level of this age group. There has been a lot of player movement and some teams have even dismantled, while new teams continue to form. The top guns should be Blessed Sacrament1 (back to back D1 champs), SBA1 (D1 silver medalist), Bounce1 (D1 bronze medalist), and YAAACE (D1 fourth place).
Blessed1: For the last 2 years Blessed1 has owned this age group. They typically stumble early comming out of the block, but wow, do they ever finish strong. There have been some internal tweaks to their roster this season, but expect another strong season from the best executing team among this group.
SBA1: Steady improvement has been the mantra of this squad. Bronze 2 years ago, Silver last year, and targetting gold this season. Some additional size has been brought in to help solidify their front court.
Bounce1: The deepest team around gets a little deeper with some new additions. They have the talent but the challenge will be to get the right chemistry on the court as there is only one ball to go around.
YAAACE: Big pickups for this team in terms of perimeter players should help their man-child rise to another level.
