The Blues Elite Basketball Program
The Blues are hosting tryouts, run by PHASE 1 Basketball:
Dates and Locations:
Saturday, February 18th & March 3rd
East York Collegiate
650 Cosburn Ave. Toronto
12 pm – 3 pm
Sunday, February 19th
J Clarke Richardson Collegiate
1355 Harwood Ave. N. Ajax
3 pm – 6 pm
Tryout Cost - $20 per player
*Each player gets a reversible Blues jersey
and a player evaluation by Phase 1 Basketball.
The Blues Elite is a year-round program dedicated to developing student-athletes to their maximum potential.
Program starts in March 2012.
Professional weekly training:
• Utilizing the PHASE 1 Basketball Training System,
responsible for preparing over 100 Canadian players
for competition in the NCAA
• Teaching proper basketball fundamentals such as:
movement, spacing, and timing that will take your
game to the next level
• One of a kind player rating system, that allows you to
monitor your progress on your way to your ultimate
goals
Highest level domestic and US competition:
• Domestic competition against other elite basketball
academy teams in the NPSAA league
• US competition in a minimum of 3 high-level
tournaments, AAU, and showcase events.
Recruiting education and exposure events:
• Education about what it takes on and off the court to
earn a basketball scholarship from the people who
have been there.
• Access to exposure events in Canada and the US,
including the Rising Stars Showcase, the All-Canada
Prospect Camp, and the All-Canada Classic
• Recruiting support from experienced staff, which will
help you in this sometimes overwhelming process.
And much more:
- Experienced coaching
- Certified athletic therapist at all NPSAA games
- Individual off-season training programs
- Game film from all NPSAA games available online
- Each athlete gets online profile
Program cost is only $275/month*, and includes all of the above (as well as all tournament and game fees, travel and
lodging costs, practice and game gear, injury screening and athletic therapy).
*Fundraising opportunities will be made available to all athletes throughout the program to help offset costs.
