not sure how public teams will be able to attend during the day, since there should be no on-calls generated. Toronto board is into work-action starting nov 7.

To my knowledge, no team has contacted me with any issue. The catholic and private school board are not affected by this work to rule. But in any case, we at Silverthorn have made preparations to accomodate any issues that may arise with the work to rule situation. A revised schedule will be posted immediately should their be any problems.


P.s- I may be wrong, but at board meetings, did they not state that sports teams for winter were still optional, or "to your own discretion" ? i may be incorrect but as a community coach thought i would ask.

extra-curriculars are optional, but teachers can't leave during the school day to attend games cause the current work action that is going to start on Wednesday states that teachers are not going to do supervisions.

The admin can bring in supply teachers but who is going to pay for those. As well, occasional teachers and LTOs also cannot do on-calls. They are only suppossed to cover sick days, 3 periods per day.

It should get interesting if it starts, cause the back stabbing will be going on, with teachers working with admin, when they are not suppossed to and with individual schools making up their own rules.

Ok, well thank you, now i understand the situation. You've cleared up my confusion .

But in regards to the tournament, again, as far as right now, all teams are confirmed, and in the case that there is a change, there are multiple options prepared to keep the tournament competative and running.
