ROPSAA Division [Junior] Empty ROPSAA Division [Junior]

Post by BornToBall Wed Dec 10, 2008 10:48 pm

Peel is turning out differently than what expected.. Father Goetz, most people thought would be a top team is slacking right now. D'youville is slacking also, supposedly a top team, but i hear they're without baltazar for a while..and the #25 guy, i don't know if it was for one game or weeks.. Fletchers! .. undereated, i believe top 3 contenders for peel right now 2-0 right now...Leger, a great team top 3 contender.. beating DY by 17. 1-0 right now. Campion, i still believe they're a top team, i hear they're missing one of their leading scoreres from last season, tyrel laurent..2-0 right now. Xavier, i have no clue whats going on with them.. but this is my top 5 for ROPSAA right now..
    IN ORDER..

#1. Cardinal Leger S.S [Jayy Skeete, Kashrel, Jahvin] role players : their big man.
#2. Fletchers Meadow [Jon McKay, Shane Tennant, Cudjoe, Kadeem G, Shaq Keith] role players : shaq watson
#3. Campion [Steven Asirifi, Griffin Fernandes, Tyrel Laurent] role players : the pg with braids i think is kenneth
#4. D' Youville [Kevin Ramos, Kamar Akoto, Chris Baltazar, Charles] role players : donno ne..
#5. BCSS [Ashton, Alex] role players : kamar manning

Reading your ranking, it's like Mississauga doesn't even exist.

Leger should be strong but let's wait until they've played in some tournaments before anointing them #1.

Fletcher's is being ranked based on winning Bantam last year but, as myself and many others have posted on a number of occasions, many top grade 9s play up in junior or play at schools where there is no Bantam team. They might be 2-0 but their opponents are probably the two weakest teams in the division.

d'Youville lost to Leger but since they have also played well at a few deep tournaments, the question is whether they had an off game against Leger and should be ranked higher than 4th.

BCSS is much-improved but they are not top-5 material yet.

Xavier has won two tournaments and beaten some solid teams along the way (St. Theresa, St. Thomas More, Brebeuf) and has to be included in at least the top-5 and more likely the top-3.

Not sure why you think Goetz is slacking. They are 2-0 in league play, including a 21-point victory, and have too much talent to be left of the list.

Campion is the big unknown. Based on play so far, they are probably not top-3, especially following their much closer than expected wins over Augustine and Famille, but with their talent and potential they might be by the end of the season.

Loyola is another big unknown. Their late start makes it hard to judge them at this point but they did blow out both Meadowvale and Carmel in league play. Hoop-It-Up should help decide but I suspect they will soon be a top-5 team in Peel.

Sorry Peel Fan but you are wrong. BCSS is for sure in the top 5. People underestimate them because they were Tier II last year.....but watch out.

    BCSS is a good team.

They have a win over St. F-X. They are well-coached.

I think that every division has god competition..obviously excluding the teams we all know who aint going to where.. but whatever other than that PEEL division is pretty good i'd say..
my top 5 teams would probably be:
    1.Ledger
    2.D'Y
    3.Goetz
    4.Xavier
    5.BCSS
Campion would be up there but i dont think there going to do good anymore.well for one they only beat ste.femme by like 6,augustine by 1 :S and fenton by 9..to me thats not top 5 material and they also have BIG losses..Griffin and Tyrell not playing? i dont really knoe ..

fletchers will not be ahead of BCSS. They beat them once by 3 and the second time (the final of the Pocock tournament), the coach benched his starters for being late, allowing Fletcher's to get a 9 point lead...also BCSS got a technical for dunking in the warm up. I think by the end of the season BCSS will be beating Fletcher's no problem.

This is refreshing. An argument on where BCSS stands in peel?

My team can compete. I am not sure if we are top 5 right now, but we have the capability of defeating some of the top 5.

I can confirm that. We (Loyola) played them today in the hoop-it-up. We had them by 4 at the half, but then two of their guys (#1 don't know his name) and another kid that didn't have a jersey went to town on us. We were down 16 by the end of the 3rd. We fought back to make it an 8 point game, but too little too late.

Their coach knows what he's doing.

sandalwood is going to be good team this year in peel they have gone through a coaching change and it takes time to adjust to a new coach with the size they have they will be a team that no one will want to play if they make the playoffs

Goetz is pretty good this year have a solid team and mostly filled with grade 9s i believe there are only about 2 grade 10s. They just beat hansen by 29 pnts. 70-41 and are 3-0

not 2 lol they have a couple styll lol[/quote]

Also the only ones tht come to mind are Jordan Fray and Josh Buldha but there is one other guy but his names slips my tongue because Naz Long another grade 10 who came from Baltimore plays for the Seniors. But they still have an over powering of niners and are still playing good in a junior division not bantam,
