Therefore right now we know that Pine Ridge will be in the semi finals tomrrow against either Dunbarton or Michael Power and Sacred heart will be in the other semi-final against a probable West Hill team if they beat the Notre Dame M team. It was a great day with some tough match ups. The J Clarke-Scared Heart game was great and fought out until the end of the game. Looking forward to another day tomorrow.

Congratulations to Dunbarton HS for playing excellent games this weekend at the 3rd Annual Durham Region Invitational and becoming the champions. Their squad demonstrated lots of effort, talent and hustle to capture the title. The championship game was a hard fought battle between two very good teams and the outcome was a struggle right until the end. Congratulations also goes out to West Hill for making it all the way to the finals and to the players who worked very hard all weekend.
Dunbarton has some great young talent and it will be interesting to watch them progress over the next few years, they have alot of depth from the bench as well and that is something that is nice to see. Congratulations goes out to the Craig Dougall and his coaching staff and all of the members of the Dunbarton squad. We have hosted Dunbarton every year and the first two years we were victorious, but this year we were outmatched - my point....you are officially invited to the 4th Annual Durham Region Invitational and we will be ready and waiting Congratulations!
Good Luck to all the teams with the rest of their seasons and we look forward to seeing you all next year on Dec 11th & 12th, 2009.

It was a pleasure for us to travel down the road to Pineridge. We were in tough against West Hill in the final for sure! I must say I was impressed with the poise of the Warrior juniors at game's end; virtually every member of their squad shook my hand, looked me in the eye and said congratulations. Thank you to Ms. England and staff for hosting. Saturday started with the 8 am game and ended with clean up near 10pm...all volunteer efforts in the name of basketball. Kudos! Dunbarton will be back ready to defend next year :-)
