Woodbridge Lions Novice - Final Tryouts. No cost.

Hi,

My name is Coach Jeff Saltzman and I will be the head coach of the Woodbridge Lions Novice basketball team this year.

We are currently looking for a few more kids between grades 2-4 to round out our novice roster.

At the moment we are training every Friday night between 6 and 9PM at the Vellore Village Community Center in Woodbridge(Weston Rd between Rutherford and Major Mack). Our training sessions focus on teaching the kids the basics of basketball -Skill set building, fundamentals, the basics of team play, etc.  The purpose of these training sessions is for the kids to have fun and improve on their games, but also to lead into our rep tryouts and the formation of our competitive rep team come September.

For the time being, I want to invite out all kids to our Friday night workouts.  Any parents with questions in regard to our current training sessions or in regard to our rep tryouts, please feel free to contact me anytime.

Hi all,

The Woodbridge Lions Novice team has a great core of young athletes, but is still looking to add 2-3 more players for the upcoming OBA season. We are holding two final tryouts next week, please feel free to join us.

The dates are Monday September the 23rd and Wednesday September 25th at Pierre Berton Public School, both evenings from 6 to 8PM.  

Pierre Berton PS is located at 470 Via Campanile, Vaughan, L4H 0X9.

During the year we will be practicing twice a week during the week. As well, we will be holding a weekend training session for our athletes ran by True Basketball Fundamentals training.
