Jr. Boys Tournament Dates 2015-16 (Black & Gold added)

Xavier Junior Rimrocker

Jan 7-10 at 4 schools in Peel (Xavier, Mount Carmel, Pocock and d'Youville)

$375 for team

All teams guaranteed 3 games with 16 teams advancing to playoffs and final 4 playing 7 games in 4 days

All teams play one game after school on the 7th and 2 games on the 8th

Schedules for teams will be assigned based on distance from Peel region to accommodate out of town teams

This is a high level tournament geared at top contenders across the province.

Hey Coach is it confirmed for Pocock still holding this venue?

Tier 2 in ROPSSAA they arent much of competition to participate, as they played Tier 1 last yr and didnt do as well as previous years.

As far as I know. They notified me to put it up.

There are numerous factors that go into making a school an ideal host site. This can include having a supportive admin, having an athletic director willing to give you gym time, having teachers that are willing to give up their weekends to convene. I would say those are fundamental.

In addition to this, Pocock has central proximity, is located on the highway, has a very nice gym, a teacher supervised scoring table and experience hosting (Pocock also co-hosts tournaments with Campion and were 2014 AAAA OFSAA co-hosts in which I was the media chair.
