no point in updating any rankings until Dec 5. Not many tournaments going on this weekend, Campion Showdown Dec 2-3, David Preston (Pine Ridge), other smaller ones.

Sidenote: Is St. Mikes even going to participate in OFSAA? If not, then is it necessary to have them ranked

They are playing league games in the CISAA so one assumes they are.

    YO....tart11 is back.

WHAT CHANGES TO THE LANDSCAPE OF CANADIAN HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL.......first let's getting something out of the way.

PREP schools are great......for the kids willing to PAY to PLAY. I am hearing kids paying 20k or more for private schools....and paying 8k or more to go to a public school and just play ball in the OSBA or NPA?

I mean the basketball in the prep leagues IS great.....competition level is outstanding and the PREP structure was needed.

BUT.....some prep teams seem to be just guys running a team and charging kids for it. HEY....parents want to pay, who are we to judge or say no.

BUT....some PUBLIC high schools like FHC, Vaughan, Thornlea, Bill Crothers seem to be the BEST OPTION. SAME competition and exposure and the teachers running these programs CAN'T charge money to coach.

Anyways....also hearing of a lot of kids making bad decisions and leaving good programs and opportunities for the HYPE of prep teams. Nothing new there.

NOW......high school system. OH YEAH.....why is OSBA considered SCHOOLS. Lots of PRIVATE TEAMS, not schools.

High school system....still some good talent and competition, but lets be honest, its the minor leagues. Although some schools like st joseph and marcy can and will give prep teams a run for their money.

To me the coaches who create a competitive team out of kids in their community are the real grinders.

OFSAA.....anyone can win it. BCSS #4 overall in high school rankings. Who they got? West Humber NOT a prep team? How they get Augustine and Goetx kids to move to Rexdale? Should of joined OSBA.

What is metro prep? What league are they in? Why not join OSBA?

CRESTWOOD.....yes RO RUSSELL......can't come up with 4k to join NPA? come on.

St Mikes winning OFSSAA this year......with former ROPSSAA kid like so many others before them.

WHO is RISE prep.....feeder team to TRC?

Why SJK not in the OSBA? Can they unsit St Mikes this year?

GTA prep now has 2 teams? Who competing in NPA?

What happened to Prolific prep North? Now they are the TECH TITANS? Not enough cash exchanging hands?

Why Thetford not in NPA? Heard they were to good....got kicked out.

I WANT TO SEE A NATIONAL PREP TOURNAMENT.....NPA and OSBA, put your egos aside and set it up......invite Thetford though.

Oh and will that New Brunswick prep school win any games?

    ANSWERS NEEDED PEOPLE.

    My god that's a lot.

Too much to type in here to respond plus many have their own story on it all.

Regular schools in osba are 400-800 to play on those teams.

Sjk left osba prolly due to loss of players. Gta prep has North and South. North will be in NPA

Rise prep is a 2nd prep team not sure and doubt it's really a feeder team

Many still push to US due to better competition or schedule. Paying 500 to FHC is better than 14000 to AI when they play in the same league. FHC going to tarkanian classic and myrtle Beach

There have been many ppl unhappy with the decision they have made but they have to live with that
