I was wondering what is the status of players such as Tramar Sutherland and Rodel Grenaway right now. Are they playing Canadian College Ball, CIS, NCAA or NJCAA? I have not heard anything about them all spring or summer. Also, what is happening with players like Curtis Trotter and Yonas Berhe. Are they still trying to go down south and get through the Clearinghouse? Are they playing ball up here now? I just want to see if anyone has answers.

Re: Henry Carr Crusaders
I don't get it. Curtis and Yonas are both a year removed from their last year of high school eligibility and are still on the market searching for some US School. So Tramar and Rodel for certain are going to prep school or is it just a rumour? Do you know if Mark Gibson is back at CARR or is he done too?

Yonas Berhe is a Bulldog!
Some exciting news involving former Father Henry Carr point guard Yonas Berhe in a recent Scout.com article.

Bulldogs Add Point Guard

Louisiana Tech Kerry Rupp was looking for another guard for this year's team. He went to a familiar place to find his man.
Coach Rupp received a fax from Darius Redding on Wednesday and Kadeem Coleby on Thursday. Also on Thursday, Coach Rupp announced that Yonas Berhe will join the team this year.
Louisiana Tech had a spot open up on this year's roster after fellow Canadian Juevol Myles failed to be cleared by the NCAA. Berhe, who played at Father Henry Carr School in Toronto, was a member of the same Grassroots Canada program that fellow Bulldog Olu Ashaolu played in. Kadeem Coleby, who is from the Bahamas, also played for Grassroots Canada.
Berhe was a 2007 graduate who spewnt the last year getting cleared by the NCAA and looking for the right NCAA program. He found his team in Ruston, LA. Berhe becomes the tenth scholarship player on the Bulldog's roster.
Adrian Rogers is the lone scholarship senior on Tech's team, giving Coach Rupp four spots to fill next year. Redding and Coleby fill two of those spots. The others could be filled in the spring period or by transfers.
Coach Rupp also has three commitments for the 2010 class. Holton Hunsaker, Josh Brown, and DJ Wright all pledged their desire to be Bulldogs in two years. Tech will lose five seniors in 2010.
