Today's game was definitely our worst performance of the season... We came out flat and unprepared and it showed. Our inability to hit a shot and an insane amount of turnovers helped to lead to our poor performance....hopefully we will be able to put today's performance behind us and go out and get it done on Thursday against Romero

Romero - 49
High Scorers
Bosco - Mahlique Marks - 13, Shaemar Lawson - 14 & Shakkoi Phillips - 12
Romero - Deshawn Montegue - 23
Today we had a much better performance... and jumped out to a big lead in the first half. This was good as it gave us a chance to get everyone in the game and run through some of offense as we get ready for the Hoop It Up Friday.
Much credit is given to Romero as they never stopped pushing and never gave up.

Michael Power beat Bishop Morrocco by 3 points in Overtime. An ugly win but still got it done.

Re: TDCAA West Scores/Standings
Michael Power beat St. Basil's. Not sure of score though, Michael Power 4-1 now though with 8 points in standings, still a pretty close knit group in TDCAA, redmond and carr are still not able to make a huge difference from the rest of the pack.

Re: TDCAA West Scores/Standings
You're absolutely correct about the grade 9 class being talented, most likely the best grade 9 class to enter Chaminade. They should continue to improve as the season progress, once they become use to the new system. They should be an exciting team to watch down the stretch. We didn’t play Marrocco yesterday, think they played Redmond.
P.S Do you think the 1995 class is the deepest in years after watch them play the 1st few month?

Re: TDCAA West Scores/Standings
Very possibly coachphillips the talent is very spread around. Good to see some of that talent come your way.
It does take time for Gr. 9's to get into the swing of things we have had many ups and a few more downs so far at MT! I try to be patient!
Fr Henry Carr A and B, and Father Redmond still remain undefeated in the West as best I can determine while Johnson and Power have only one loss. Johnson may have lost their second yesterday.
The TDCAA website should be updated tomorrow.

Re: TDCAA West Scores/Standings
Some of the guys play rep with me so I decided to do senior, very tough decision. You have some great talent at MT in grade 9 so naturally by play off you'll have them peaking. Raynold on your junior squad and it's a different team but you guys obviously wanted him to compete at a higher level. I'm only speculating but playing Senior will mean he has to earn those minutes.

Re: TDCAA West Scores/Standings
We can be good if we can just get our guys to buy in but its been very difficult to this point.
When we have it going we are tough to play against but Player A messes up in Class 4 then Player B misses practice and Player C is failing in Science, etc. etc.
Raynold has definitely had his moments in Senior with multiple dunk games. He is one very strong young man!
I'm hoping things get better in 2010. We have been tough in adhering to our standards and we will not be lightening up. The players need to pick up their game in the classroom.
