    Rick,

You left off the score for Pope John Paul. What was their point total? What did J Clarke Richardson win by?

    WaterBadgers,

It is a preseason ranking that is based upon current results. Oakwood was a highly regarded team coming into the season and they lost to Dennison and Anderson. Oakwood is the defending OFSAA champs and has an early season win over Oakville-Loyola. They are a good team, but, Anderson is the real deal! I spoke about them last year and how this upcoming season Anderson would make some serious noise. You can't dispute the fact that they beat two perennial powerhouse teams in Henry Carr and Oakwood. You have to respect that!!!Under the leadership of Kevin Pangos, Dennison is a good team. A win over Oakwood carries some major currency at this point in the season.

a lopsided friendship game means nothing in the long run for oakwood, anderson is very good but one tournament doesnt make or break a team, we will know in the future weeks whether they are the real deal or not.

J Clarke and Anderson are really representing the Durham region schools. With some solid duos like JC's Redpath and Samuels and Anderson's Edwards and Pierre. Looks like Pickering will have to scrap it out of this region. Vaughan looks to have the York region if not the province on lock. Eastern Commerce looks solid for the Toronto Public schools, but I feel there are some sleepers out there. Pope may surprise people in the Toronto Catholic sector, but FHC and MT will be making sure they're reign doesn't diminish. Peel maybe the toughest region to decipher. Lots of schools with solid squads. St Mikes always is in control of the private sector. Should be a well balanced season.

sandalwood also lost to fletcher`s by 20+ points.

Maybe Pine Ridge is not as strong as people think...sometimes reputation precedes results.

fletchers could have been higher because tehir team look staq with players from last year grade 11's to grade 12 and were talkiung about them taking peel between/over bcss and acesion and dy.As well why is oakwood so low they coul have been alittle higher despite them losing julian clark.they won offsaa and they probably have good players that are on the team from grade 11.The top three is ok bot why is anderson and denision so high, like do they have graet players on the team because i don't know to much about durham basketball .Carr is ok mt and dy could have been higher becuase those are always underestimated in the beginning of the year.oh well there just predictions for this year but we will see.

True Talks you will know alot about the durham region this year.... They have alot of strong teams in the area, and could be one of the strongest regions in the province this year. Dont underestimate Anderson from Whitby with one of the best 1-2 combos Of Pierre and Edwards along with a roster thats played together since grade 9 if not before. Pine Ridges lost against Sandalwood was a loss taken because of the start they had being down 10 real early they never really got back from as well as there was evident to be some reffing problems that game. Sandalwood is good definetly not better than Pine Ridge. In my opinion. Theres also the known Durham teams such as Jclarke and Pickering who are always good and will be in the top 16 all year.

no offence but sandalwood is way better than pine ridge. pine ridge is overrated. they could not handle sandalwooeds pressure in the first and second quarter. there was one poiint where swood was up by 21 it was a game of runs and sandalwood showed clearly that they are the better team. they are more athletic and versatile as their bench is much deeper than pine ridges. West Humber is a very good team as swood just beat them in the ending.

West Humber is a solid team.

I am sure Pine Ridge is overrated, and have hype because of their reputation from the past.

Sandalwood is always a top contender in the pre-season, then you don't hear from them. They will have to play against d'Y, Fletchers and Ascension in their own division, and I don't think they are better then those teams.
