The rankings are always tougher to do at the beginning of the season.
But as time goes on, you will see a little less debate.

It's hard to keep up with all the boys tournaments !!!

For my own information which two tournaments did Laurier win ??

Laurier won the Vaughan Road Viper Classic and the 5th Annual Prestige Trophy and Awards Holiday Clash - hosted by Father McGivney & Middlefield.

Vaughan Road Viper Classic - Tournament MVP: Rejeevh McKinson (Laurier)

Was there any Super 16 teams at these tourneys ???

No there was not any super 16 teams in the tournaments but there was some Honourable Mentions: Martingrove and Vaughan Road. Laurier also beat Milliken Mills in the semi-finals by 15 (68-53) at the 5th Annual Prestige Trophy and Awards Holiday Clash and then beat Turner Fenton (51-45) in the finals. Its to bad Laurier doesn't get the chance to face top teams in top tournaments because there are some tallent players on Laurier.

I know people are busy but there's been two big tournament weekends and no new rankings.
Hooptown is loafting.

I am sure that there will be another super 16 ranking after the results from the Rimrocker. Tournaments such as the Eastern Commerce Holiday Classic and to a lesser degree the St. Francis Xavier Rimrocker really help to accurately formulate the poll since so many potential super 16 teams are going head-to-head. The St. Mikes Tournament in early January and the Mother Teresa tournament as well help to separate the contenders from the pretenders.

The Holiday Classic takes care of the top of the poll and the Rimrocker helps to shape the honourable mention section and spots 11-16 on the Super 16 team poll. As for Laurier, we have to wait and see. They are undefeated but they are playing in B level tournaments therefore it is difficult to determine how good they really are. If Laurier truly feels they are getting no respect, then they could arrange exhibition games with Mother Teresa, Pickering or J Clarke....all of those schools are within 15 minutes of Laurier Collegiate.

Tart11 my question in regards to your list is why is Pope still so high? They have 1 win over Carr, got obliterated by J Clarke, lost to Loyola, and also got killed by that french team who then lost to Carr. Tomorrow Pope is going to play MT. On your list MT is at 15 so if they lose that game there gonna have to be either taken off the list or dropped to the 15/16 spot. If they win that then they can keep their ranking. I also disagree with Anderson being so low. Right now Anderson is like how Memphis was a few years back. We know they have all those talented guys but can't justify the #1 spot until they play someone. However I would still put them at the 3/4 spot. They beat Oakwood and have to my knowledge only lost to Vaughan.

Adjustment made...I follow a lot of results but I don not keep track of everything....this is just to start a discussion. As for Anderson...what if they donèt play anyone else from the super 16. What other tournaments are they in...

Eventually Anderson will play Pickering and J Clarke because they are in the same league. As far as tournaments go I can't say for sure. Its only a matter of time before we really see Anderson.

No they wont because Anderson is in the AAA division in durham while J Clarke and Pickering are AAAA.

Anderson and Pickering should switch spots IMO and who has west hill beat to be 13th? :s

I think Richview needs to drop to HM... thye lost big to Carmel and unranked team and then to Dyouville. West hill should be at 15/16 other wise pretty good.

I agree with u aswell then I looked at who should take their spot and there are no clear cut team if Mount Carmel pull together a few more Ws they will be my pick for that spot

This should be the correct ranking based on Wins, Losses, and Tournament results using the “What have you done for me lately” approach. I team that has a 500 record should not be in the Top 16 or even the HM list. For example, if a Team has an overall record of 8-5 or 5-5 regardless of who the team is playing, that team should not be mentioned in our TOP GTA or HM LIST. Traditionally speaking, TOP teams are judged based on Wins and Losses; it has been like this from the beginning of basketball.

You guys have your own views which is good so tell me how could fletchers be above Mother Teresa a team that have been entering many great tournaments and winning Mark Walton Invitational.What have fletchers done lately?
"Wins, Losses, and Tournament results "winning a few league games with no loses makes you #1 maybe it is true when you hiding out.
To me the team that have been entering many tournaments and doing well is BCSS win or lose they have been fighting hard which is good for that i will give them HM.

LOL Dunbarton got smacked up by two Peel teams nowhere on this list. and went to OT with Richview and then lost and there on the radar?

What have they done lately? A whole bunch of losing!

Pope lost to MT today in OT by 1. I wasn't really impressed with either side to tell the truth. Lots of mistakes made down the stretch including 2 free throws missed which would have iced the game for MT.

How is Loyola so highly ranked? They lost to J Clarke at the Holiday Classic and to Henry Carr at the Mark Walton.
