Ater seeing Sacred Heart(Ottawa) played in the Holiday Classic they were impressive no real size but good steady play. To me any team that goes out and give Vaughn a good run have to be good.
I give a Thumbs up for them. They need to be invited back to the Gta.

Sacred Heart by far is the best team outside of GTA and I would go as far as to group them with Vaughan and Richardson as the 3 best teams in Ontario. I bet Sacred Heart could beat numbers 3-16 on the GTA list with not too much problem.

They were beating Vaughan badly by 10+ points in Holiday Classic and it was a MIRACLE (4 late 3s by reid-knight) that let them slip the game.

Either way they going to be the darkhorse at offssa this year i bet, i wouldnt want to play them, there PG Stoquia and C Vik Gill are CLUTCH from all over the court.

    Sacred Heart then HB Beal

Within the GTA Sacred would be top 6 and HB BEAL top 12.

I know Holy Names is supposed to be good but their record against top teams is unimpressive to say the least. Sacred Heart I would like to see them in action, possibly at the SBA tournament?

According to fatdog.ca, Sacred Heart (Ottawa) currently has a record of 15-3. They have lost to Vaughan at the Holiday Classic, and St. George's (Vancouver) at the Bedford Road Invitational Tournament in Saskatoon.

Does anyone know who their 3rd loss was to?

HUH sacred heart lost to st. pat's wow that hard to belive, st. pats is garbage as seen in mother teresa tourny, they lost 86-53 to Pickering.

The thing is Pickering got handled by Sacred heart and lost 61-44.

So one of two things happened, either Sacred Heart was missing a top player against St. Pats or St. Pats was missing a top player against Pickering.

I would hate to see how good St. Pats is if they really can beat Sacred heart at full strength.

Unless it was a typo, Sir Robert Borden beat Sacred heart today by 2 points. Before anyone starts using derogatory descriptions, I should point out that there always tends to be a fair bit of parity among the top teams in Ottawa each year.

It is not a typo, Sir Robert Borden did beat Sacred Heart by two tonight. You are correct to point out the parity that seems to exist each year among the top teams, but this year, may be even more so as there seems to be about 8 teams at the AAA/AAAA division in Ottawa and two - four teams from the A/AA division that could beat anyone on any given night. When this is the case, you get great games like tonight's between Sir Robert Borden and Sacred Heart.

I have not seen St. Pats, but it is my understanding that they belong in the group of 8. I know that they beat Sacred Heart in a preseason tournament and when I spoke with the Sacred Heart coach the week before that tournament, they were just starting up as football had just finished. I am not making excuses for them on that loss as all games count and I am sure that Sacred Heart would not make any excuses either.

The score in the Sacred Heart / St. Pats game was 55-54 for St. Pats and the score last night between Sir Robert Borden and Sacred Heart was 48-46 for Sir Robert Borden.

Sacred Heart has qualified for AAAA OFSAA. They defeated St. Peter in the quarter-finals and St. Pat's in the semi-finals to advance to the National Capital AAAA/AAA championship game. Since they are AAAA and their opponents in the final (Hillcrest) are AAA, each team advances to their respective OFSAA tournament automatically.
