Re: LOSSA Playoffs
The final of LOSSA will pit J Clarke Richardson vs. Pickering as both teams won their sem-finals last night...which was to be expected. Those teams have been the cream of the crop of that region this season! It should be an interesting and highly competitive game...

Hey Tart11,
Sorry I haven't really been out to Peel this year. Kinda swamped in the central and
east. Next year I'll be getting out a lot more to the "West side"! I'm working at
HoopDome as well so that cuts out the time that I can get out to games!
That's why I'm on Hooptown as this is where I can get the goods on games and
regions that I haven't been able to get to!
Don't worry I got love for Peel! We will see some Peel teams in OFSAA too!

Re: LOSSA Playoffs
For the past three years Durham has had two OFSAA berths, but, in actuality, it only has one. Pickering was awesome earlier tonight! They wanted it more.......to say they played hard would be an understatement.
Jevon Jacobs, Asher Tulloch-Lewis and Damion Rashford outplayed J Clarke's big three of Aaron Redpath, Leon Alexander and Tyrelle Samuels. The officiating was suspect at times, but, Pickering played with so much heart, energy and passion that they would not be denied another LOSSA Championship. It was a great moment for Gordo! I would say it might have been his greatest coaching job to date. He got the best out of his team at the right moment. Pickering did not need to beat J Clarke all season...they just needed to beat them once. Their team defence was incredible!
Jevon Jacobs was an absolute warrior, soldier...beast whatever!!!! He single handedly willed Pickering to victory. In my opinion, he was the difference maker. Asher's 3 point shooting was timely and deadly....it kind of reminded me of Rob G against Carr two years ago or Julian Clarke of Oakwood last year. Damion Rashford finished well around the basket and played great defensively. In a nut shell, Jevon outplayed Tyrelle....Asher shot the ball better than Aaron....Damion finished better and outscored Leon, and that is why Pickering is still the LOSSA Champs.
I do feel for the J Clarke Richardson team. They had two awesome seasons but not a single OFSAA medal. Also, they lose a lot of talent next year so they will have to rebuild next year. I wish Leon, Aaron and Tyrell all the best in the future. They had a great run and have done a lot to put J Clarke Richardson on the map.

Re: LOSSA Playoffs
Yorkregionballer what he means is that Durham only gets 1 berth for OFSAA. The reason they have gotten 2 for the last 3 years is because last year OFSAA was in durham region. Host region automatically gets 2 berths. The 2 years before that they got 2 berths because the region that won OFSAA the previous year gets 2 berths, and since Pickering had won back to back with Devoe Durham got 2 berths the following 2 years. Do you understand now?
