CHARLOTTE—The name Andrew Wiggins isn’t new to anyone who follows prep hoops closely. For some time now, he’s been labeled “the next great Canadian.” In 2009, a Hoopmixtape.com video went viral with more than 2.3 million views, posing a question as to whether he was the best 13-year-old in the nation.
But as Wiggins gets older—he just turned 16 on Feb. 23—he continues to improve, which is a scary prospect for anyone facing the 6-foot-7 wing.
