TDCAA East - Games for Week of Feb. 9-13

Why is it that, vanier isnt in the top 10 but the other two teams are?
How is brebeuf doing?

I believe on PF and PA against Vanier is first in the TDCAA East at this time. They are a good team but they have lost to both Pope and MT in tournament play.

They also lost a close to Top Ten HM Brampton Centennial at Hoop-it-Up. To my knowledge they have not defeated any Top Ten or HM.

Brebeuf is also a pretty solid team but they have losses to MT, Vanier and were upset by Neil McNeil. They will play Pope later in the season.

Tough Race in the east. Wow Pope pulled off a game against you. How do you figure you will do when the playoffs begin

I think we can compete. Our team has been through a lot this year but we do have some talent.

We have a lot of Gr. 9's playing in our starting rotation.

We had a number of ups and downs but we had it down to two or four in the fourth quarter and missed three in a row right under the rim.

Pope went on a run late and pulled it out we had to gamble and we got burned!!

Pope is pretty experienced with some top Gr. 10's in Hassan, Nick and Jermaine who we held down reasonably and a big kid O'Neal who really hurt us inside.

Actually Pope was on a run all game!! As you said the expeienced kids kept their defense and offense tight! Not that many grade 9's from MT were on the floor! It was an awesome game and Pope represented their defensive and offensive skills!!!! MT's only came within 4! Give Pope more props than that Coach Bob!!!

Mt didn't do anything wrong - Pope just played awesome!!

We had four Gr. 9's in our rotation: DeShaun Williams, Shavoie Tomlinson, Keron Williamson and Ose Akioyomen. That's half of our starting eight.

Neither team was awesome. Pope's best players were pretty quiet and so were some of ours. Part of that may be due to the defence that's being played.

Pope won a game on their home court, MT lost one on the road. It was hardly a great game. Both teams may have been a little tight.

Last year's coach was Paul Weekes and he is now coaching at Vaughan. Paul is one of the very best in the game.

This year they are coached by one of the most respected coaches in high school basketball, Don Marchione.
