In addition to the elite Senior Boys Basketball Action, a special All-Star game featuring the T.D.S.B. Hoops for Hope team and members of the media has been added to the 2011 Holiday Classic.
The game will take place Saturday December 17th at 4:15pm at Jarvis Collegiate.
The Toronto District School Board led by Dr. Chris Spence, Director of Education and frontman Jerome "Junkyard Dog" Williams will take to the hardwood in a featured basketball game against the Toronto Media All Stars in support of Hoops for Hope - an initative of Dr. Spence to assist disadvantaged youth in the Toronto area. Tip off for the game is scheduled for this Saturday, December 17, 4:15 pm. at Jarvis Collegiate, 495 Jarvis Street (at Wellesley) sandwiched between the Bronze and Gold Medal games of the top calibre Eastern Commerce Holiday Basketball Tournament.

Darren Thomas, Basketball Commentator, Rogers TV
Former star player with Simon Fraser University, Guelph University and Runnymede high school team that won 2 OFSAA Gold Medals in 1984/85.
Lance Winn, Sport Reporter, CBC
Point guard with York University and Oakwood Barons, Lance still holds a 3 point university record
Randy Urban, Reporter, The Score
Former guard with the Toronto Varsity Blues, Randy played his high school basketball in York Region.
Duane Watson, Writer, Sway Magazine
A quick 6'4 forward who played his college ball at Centennial in the OCAA.
Ryan Wolstat, Writer, Toronto Sun
Covers the Raptor beat alongside CIS, NCAA and any other hoops deemed important by a newspaper widely acknowledged as the best in sports coverage.

Gary Durrant, Colour Commentator, Rogers TV
Quite prominent in the basketball world, this 6'6 forward is a former NCAA slam dunk champion and star of the Chocolate Milk commercials. Gary is also President of the Oshawa Power basketball team in the CBL.
Mike Kennedy, Basketball Video Producer
This 6'10 draft pick of the NBA out of San Diego State in the early eighties, Mike trains pro/international athletes while producing training videos for clients and pro teams.
Dana McKiel, Play-by-Play, Rogers TV/Sport TV Canada
The founder of the Toronto Media All Stars in 1995, Dana has covered every major basketball event/team in Southern Ontario since 1984 while authoring a book titled "Hang Time" released in 2001.
About the Toronto Media All Stars:
The team was founded in 1995 by Rogers TV Sport Commentator Dana McKiel to assist with numerous requests for school, community and charity fund-raising efforts. Among games played include games in support of the Parkdale Drug Awareness Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, Toronto Parks and Recreation Department, Toronto Argonauts Football Team and Centennial College. Large crowds always attend to see favourite TV/radio/newspaper personalites.
