The Guardsmen Basketball Club is one of the premier youth basketball clubs in Canada.
The Club was co-founded in 1985 by Dave Smart, head coach of the 8 time Canadian University Champion Carleton University Ravens. Coach Smart is actively involved with the Guardsmen and currently serves as Club President.
In 2012-13 the Guardsmen will field 3 teams based in the GTA:
- U12 Boys/Major Atom (2001)
- U13 Boys/Bantam (2000)
- U15 Boys/Midget (1998)
The teams will compete in Ontario Basketball Association sanctioned tournaments and exhibition games.
