Maroon and Black Tournament Nov 12-13 @ Pine Ridge

This year's edition of the Maroon and Black Jr. Boys Challenge will be held on Nov. 12-13 at Pine Ridge Secondary School in Pickering (2155 Liverpool Road North Pickering, ON L1X 1V4).

Last year's final was a matchup of two of the top Jr. teams in the GTA with Notre Dame (Ajax) edging St. Roch 67-64.

This year will feature a classic 8-team draw with 3 games guaranteed. The cost will be $350.00 per team.

Pennants to the champions and finalists. Team and tournament MVP awards. T-shirts to the champions and finalists.

Tough loss to ND Ajax last yr 1 of only 3 teams to defeat the ROPSSAA champs, it was a good game, tough and gritty.

Yes indeed it was two truly outstanding teams.

I was not surprised in the least by all that St. Roch went on to accomplish later in the season.

I would love to see both these schools return to this season's tournament!
