Historically, the “Irv Salsberg” brings together the top GTA high school basketball teams in search of one of the most respected Junior high school boys' basketball crowns in the GTA, tournament dates are March 5th & 6th, with 8 of the top Junior teams in the GTA competing.
The Irv Salsberg Memorial Tournament is dedicated to the memory of Irv Salsberg, a man who committed much of his life to the development of basketball. In Irv’s thirty-plus years of coaching at Forest Hill Collegiate and through his involvement with TABO he shared his love and enthusiasm for the game of basketball with all who came in contact with him. Irv passed away in 1990, but his legacy as a builder within the basketball community will continue for many years to come.[/center]
