It is very unfortuante that the Peel Finals are not properly showcased. Why did they stop playing the T2 and the T1 finals at Sheridan on the same evening? This was a great opportunity to showcase both games and witness the crowing of the champions.
The fact that ROPSSAA now is charing $10 per person to attend the game will certainly cover all necessary costs of rental and policing and at the end of the day make money, money that can be transfered back to help offset OFSAA costs (travel, lodging, meals) and other programs.
If the issue is with Sheridan, that is an easy fix - move the Championships to Univ. of Toronto Mississauga's location - great gym.
The coaches and the AD's need to come together and push this through. Have Rogers film the show just like Toronto does. Sell tickets through the schools, open tickets to the public and sell tickets at the door too, fill the facilty make it the event it should be! Even work with the newspapers in Missisauga and Brampton.
The same should be said for the Bantam and Junior finals too!
Regardless best of luck to all teams in their respective finals and especially d'Ville and Campion at OFSAA. Both teams will represent Peel well.
