Canada 90 Mexico 44 leading scorers for Canada were Kevin Pangos with 18, Anthony Bennett with 17, and Nikolas Stauskas with 16.

There's two teams at least I could get one of the two team's score correct!

I like the live stats doesn't show just points. It shows rebs, steals, blocks, assists that gives a better idea of players overall contributions.

Canada has a bunch of guys who stuff the stat sheet: Anthony Bennett, Kevin Pangos, Nick Lewis, Negus Webster-Chan, Jon Alexander, Duane Notice and more. This team is deep!

I'm not going to speculate on the why's but Canada can compete with anybody at the younger ages. That ability declines as the ages move up!

The talent level of the players is exceeding our ability to develop that talent!

In other action, Venezuela defeated Puerto Rico 87-81, U.S.A. routed Brazil 110-82 and home side Argentina impressed with a 106-72 win over Bahamas.

Pangos, Stauskas, and Bennett played the best for Canada in game 1.
Today they face the Bahamas.

Coach Clement, you stated that “the talent level of the players is exceeding our ability to develop that talent” which I totally agree with, however, I have a couple of questions. (1) What do we need to do in order to help these young men achieve their potential? (2) What is missing/lacking from our coaching to help these young men develop?

Argentina should be a good test for Canada. There is a lot of internationl success from the Argentine side of things could be a huge step for Canada Basketball to pick up a win against them.

Negus-Webster Chan was the leading scorer for Canada with 23 points.
Kevin Pangos and Anthony Bennett had 14 points each.
