Whoever made this bracket is trying to screw Peel over. Why are you guys putting both Peel teams into Bracket C. No other region has both teams in the same bracket. Why is CISSAA in bracket A, move them to bracket C and put one of the Peel teams into Bracket A.

Seriously though, I know you guys aren't that slow to not have noticed this, there must be an ulterior reason for doing this??

Wow, we have done everything in our power to accomodate Peel beginning in June of last year.

Guess what, your quarters are the night before.

Do you want us to put Peel on Thursday when your top 8 teams are all playing in the quarters?

Plus your teams are not jumping at this tournament. We'll take the best two Peel reps available!

So jt which Peel teams could play on Thursday other than a team outside of the top 8?

    Coach Bob

The factor that this has been in play since last year that this Individual has not been keeping up to the times. Accommodating Teams is the difficult part especially with teams are still in season.

    jt

This is very disturbing especially no one else has stepped up to even make this happen. So if there are to teams that end up in the same division then so be it, you say that peel needs to represent, they are, in the top 16, I see 5 peel teams, but how many of them are available to play? Please suggest instead of the negative feedback on hard work that has been put in place to better basketball in the province..... If there is a issue then present it.

    1 Pickering (2) 236 pts. (8 1st Place votes)
    2 Vaughan Secondary (3) 229 pts (3 1st Place votes)
    3 Father Henry Carr B (4) 217 pts. (1 1st Place vote)
    4 Downsview (5) 198 pts.
    5 West Hill (6) 185 pts.
    6 Ste Marguerite d’Youville (7) 145 pts
    7 Oakwood (9) 139 pts.
    8 Eastern Commerce 138 pts.
    9 Father Henry Carr A (1) 116 pts.
    10 Sandalwood (10) 115 pts.
    11 Fr. Goetz (11) 103 pts.
    12 St. Edmund Campion (16) 101 pts.
    13 Ascension (14) 100 pts.
    14 St. Michael’s College (12) 83 pts.
    15 Mother Teresa (13) 78 pts.
    16 Martingrove (HM) 65 pts.

    Good luck to all teams

Coach Bob will there be another Poll?

Let's not go through all this Peel stuff again. Please!
If you can come, come and play it as it falls or don't come but not another pile of complaints from Peel individuals.
I agree with thefuture. It will be tough for any Peel team to win this tournament.

    Bronze Medal Game - 4:00 p.m. – Loser Semi-final 1 vs. Loser Semi-final 2
    Gold Medal Game - 6:00 p.m. – Winner Semi-final 1 vs. Winner Semi-final 2

If Henry Carr A enters this tournament, aren't they the clear cut favourites to win, and quite easily?

I was at the Hoops For Haiti hosted by Pickering High School. All I can say is if Pickering was number one, Carr A thoroughly dominated them. The final deficit was 30 points and honestly it could have been 40. Carr A is real. I personally think only Vaughan has a chance to upset them.

Peel needs to stop all the whining. It is getting tired.

I think Carr A wins it . Pickering beat Vaughn by 6, Carr A beat Pickering by 30

The Peel fix is easy, move one of them to the MT bracket. It's not that much further away than Vaughan (further east but not as far north) and the east-west format isn't necessarily accurate depending from where in Toronto and York the CISAA, TDCAA, TDSSAA and YRAA reps are based.

The GTA Junior Invitational should include some good games. One day, there might be a true championship.

If any of the top three or four teams were upset in their regionals they would be given wild card consideration.

For the Peel teams who will be just starting their playoffs we will use the regional seeding as a guideline for inviting teams as there will be no Champion and finalist chosen.

It remains with those teams whether or not they accept the invitations.

Henry Carr A will likely be a wildcard although they are not participating in the TDCAA Tier 1 playoffs but are definitely a top team.

Really? Has Holy Trinity (Oakville) been invited/considered? They were the number 1 team in Halton all year, no losses in their region, and either won or did decently against Toronto teams they faced so they were arguably an HM team. They were eliminated in a pretty shocking quarterfinal upset to a team they beat by close to 30 just 2 weeks prior. Unfortunately two of their top four scorers had a less than stellar game, and Assumption just could not miss, so that happens sometimes.

If anyone from Halton deserves a wild card, I'd suggest it is Holy Trinity for sure.

I have emailed the Final four from Halton. We'll see who is interested.

Holy Trinity appears to be interested so they will be considered if there is an opening or as a possible wildcard.
